IndieClassified takes your privacy concerns very seriously. This policy has been written to inform you clearly and succinctly what information we collect and how it is
used. Any changes in our policies concerning privacy issues will be updated and posted on this notice.
- Your email address and password are required and used for registration purposes only.
- Your account information is password-protected. Keep your password safe and do not disclose it to others.
- IndieClassified does not knowingly collect data from, nor do we offer our product to, minors (for example, under 18 in the USA). If we find that such data has been
collected, IndieClassified will remove it and any adverts associated with it.
- IndieClassified does not send you unsolicited communications for marketing purposes.
- The IndieClassified weblog collects web log entries such as your IP address, timestamp, and page URLs. Such information is used by our systems for maintenance and
diagnostics as necessary to support our service to you.
- If you elect to pay for a premium ad, we will collect only such information as necessary to process your payment and for billing and/or receipts. Such information can
include your address, telephone/fax number, etc.
- We do not store your credit card information. Such information is passed to our financial gateway partners, and we take every precaution, including the most up-to-date
security software, to ensure that your details remain secure during transmission.
- We do not share the information we collect with any other organizations, companies, or individuals, except those partners directly concerned with financial
processing.
- All those who have access to your information are contractually obliged to respect the confidentiality of your personal data.
- Cookies are used to remember your login, but are not used for tracking purposes.
- We offer you the option of email cloaking and relay for your convenience and privacy, as well as to prevent spambots and others from harvesting your email
addresses.
- Advertisers can post links directly to third-party websites. IndieClassified is neither responsible for nor has any control over third-party websites. We suggest that
you check carefully others' privacy policies.
- Other websites and search engines, with which IndieClassified has no affiliation, such as google.com, groups.yahoo.com, etc., can harvest and copy advertisements. We
have no ability to prevent this nor have any influence over such websites whatsoever.
- We do not allow pop-ups, pop-unders or any other intrusive advertising.
- The email address you provide will be used by us to communicate with you as necessary, such as for account confirmation, password reminders, feedback, etc.
- We may collect information on you from direct communications or if you provide such information on feedback or comments.
- Do not post information on advertisements which you wish to keep private.
- We retain webdata, classified adverts, and other records on a database which is archived as necessary. Although such information is stored in a secure environment,
withheld from public access, we cannot 100% guarantee its safety despite our good faith efforts to do so.
- You may contact us by email or in any other manner and ask if we hold any information on you. We will respond in a prompt manner with a simple confirmation yes/no as
quickly and reasonably possible.
- If you would like a copy of information held on you we will endeavor to provide this for a small administration fee within 40 days from your written request to us
which must provide all the information required for us to accurately identify you.
- To protect the integrity and security of your data we will take steps to verify your identity before granting access to your data or making corrections to it.
- As far as the law permits, we reserve the right to refuse to provide information and if we do so, we will provide the reason for refusing to provide information.
- If any information held about you is inaccurate you may request that we correct it free of charge.
- We may release information held on you if required to do so by any appropriately authorized governmental, policing, law enforcement or other such authority.
- We may also disclose information held on you to appropriate law enforcement or other organizations if in so doing we in good faith believe that such disclosure is
required to enforce our terms and conditions, or to prevent or report any illegal, threatening, or otherwise suspicious activity.
- Due to the international nature of IndieClassified and physical location of servers in California, USA, it is necessary to transmit data from users outside of the USA
across residential jurisdictions. Your use of our software provides that you accept and agree with such data transfer.
- This software is owned by IndieClassified Inc, based at 47 South Meridian Street, Suite 410, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204 and any references to IndieClassified are to
be taken as the same.
- Use of our software means acceptance of our Terms of Service as well as this Privacy Policy.
